Andrew Dittmann, is a mining engineer and blasting enthusiast, with fourteen years’ industry experience.Andrew currently holds the position of Technical Services Managerat one of Australia’s leading mining consultancies, MEC Mining. Andrew’s previous roles include strategy & marketing roles for MEC, and senior technical & operational blasting roles with a mining house.Through his previous roles and service as a committee member of the Young Mining Professionals Brisbane and Perth chapters, Andrew is experienced in event management and growing the brand presence of industry communities. He is looking forward to bringing his skills to the ISEE board to assist in growing the brand recognition of ISEE Australia and continuing to engage members in new and exciting ways.

 Anthony Gilchrist, DSM, has developed extensive knowledge of Explosives, Logistics, Training, and Security across over 35 years experience in the explosives industry across military and civilian roles.In over 20 years of distinguished service with the ADF, Anthony’s key personal highlights included his combat deployments and being posted as an instructor on the AmmunitionTechnical Officers (ATO) and Counter Improvised Explosive Device (CIED) courses. During deployment to Iraq he personally led over 60 combat missions, deployed to over 100 post blast exploitations and developed various technical bulletins in tactics, techniques and procedures.In 15 years since leaving the defence force, Anthony has worked for and with industry participants within Australia and internationally for explosive manufacturers including Orica, Downer Blasting and Dyno Nobel, and recently with Newcrest Mining as a specialist safe mining and explosives innovation.Anthony’s passion is passing on his wealth of information & knowledge of military & commercial explosives to the next generation of professionals to leave the industry and the people in it safer.

Lee Julian, has over 15 years of industry experience working as an open cut drill and blast specialist in both coal and hard rock with consulting experience in 17 countries. Lee currently operates his own consultancy Blast Ability International, and has worked across operational and technical roles for various explosive suppliers, consultancies and mining operators.Lee’s focus is on safety, productivity and combining hands-on experience, statistical analysis and blasting theory to effectively resolve challenging blast problems. Lee has authored multiple technical papers and has been published by the ISEE, Fragblast and ACARP.

Paul Klaric, has for nearly 20 years enjoyed a varied career in the explosives industry across multiple continents, commodities & mining methodologies.Paul has experience across operational, commercial, digital and technical roles for explosive manufacturers and is currently Principal Drill & Blast at an Iron Ore major. Throughthese roles, Paul has further developed his understanding and appreciation of the challenges faced by customers, suppliers and manufacturers.Paul has been an active member of the ISEE for over a decade having presented and attended ISEE conferences and chapter meetings in Australia and abroad, whilst also lecturing at universities to educate and promote underground and surface blasting practices to university students.
